A group of exceptional ESOL and Access adult learners at Kingston College were recognised at Kingston Rotary Adult Achievers Awards on Monday evening, attended by the Mayor of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor Liz Green. The awards, which took place in the Queen Anne Suite in the Guildhall, is an annual event which celebrates the achievements of adults in the borough who may have experienced hardships in life but still managed to succeed in education.

Following the event, Peter Mayhew-Smith, Group Principal and CEO, South Thames Colleges Group, commented: “The stories of our wonderful students shone through and tutors should be very proud of the things they do to support and help them realise their potential in the face of adversity. It was very special to see it all acknowledged with such enthusiasm. The Mayor expressed her admiration and appreciation. Really well done.”
