Why did you choose BTEC and why did you choose Kingston College?
I chose to do a BTEC in Music Production & Technology as I wanted to explore my passion for music in a creative way. The course and opportunities that Kingston College showed was the main reason I chose it.
Was College life what you expected? Any surprises or anything of note?
College life was exactly how I expected it to be - very exciting and independent based. Meeting lots of new people who shared the same passions as me made it easy to connect and settle in. I thoroughly enjoyed how my lecturers put the time and effort into caring about my work whilst treating me like a grown up. The opportunities I had at College such as presenting my own radio show and helping set up a gig at Pryzm was definitely an added bonus to the fun I had over the 2 years. By working with lots of people that had the same interests, it built my confidence levels to believe in my capabilities. Their feedback reassured me and helped me grow to be a better creator.
I have to add that my lecturers Jacob, Grant, Remi and Jordan were inspirations. Their love and passion for music is something I will always look up to. Thank you.
Are you off to uni in September, taking a gap year or working?
I’m now perusing my love for coffee by working full time in a coffee shop and won’t be going to uni.
