Ria is a "beautiful dancer with a bright future ahead", says Sheryl Skyrme, Deputy Head of School - Performing Arts.
BTEC Performing Arts - Dance student, Ria Straker, gained D*D*D*, equivalent to 3 A* at A Level, and will continue her studies at prestigious Conversatoire, Italia Conti.
Ria says: “I chose a BTEC as I believed that it would be the option that suited me the best and would enable me to get the most out of this part of my educational journey. I chose Kingston as it had so many different courses to choose from.
“I received an offer to study at Italia Conti on the day of my audition and this is where I will be going in September.
“The favourite part of the course would be the shows at the end of the year, being able to work with the tutors and other students also from different courses has got to be my favourite part.
“My advice for anyone looking to apply for any of the Performing Arts courses at Kingston is to go for it! I have had the best time and have met true friends for life.”
