Talented BTEC Level 3 Fashion, Textiles & Costume student, Rhenice Ottey, has accepted a place to study Level 4 HNC Fashion & Textiles at Kingston College. She says: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time studying at Kingston College! My tutors and the resources provided have helped me to elevate my work and construct masterpieces.
“For me, fashion has no boundaries, expectations or rules; it’s a form of identity through art where there are no wrong answers. This is what inspired me to do a BTEC, I was able to go outside the box with my ideas and explore a range of different media and techniques. With my final grade being determined through my coursework, I could demonstrate my creative abilities practically to my tutors, as well as the other qualities I’ve learnt along the way such as time management and problem solving.
“I chose Kingston College not only for its remarkable reputation but also for the amount of support and diversity within the college itself.
“I was at college only three days a week and my timetable was at all different hours of the day. Sometimes I’d start at 9am and on other days I’d start at midday. I liked it because I had a lot more independent study time and the two days a week that I was out of college, I used them to complete my 36 hours of work experience.
“This September I will be joining the Level 4 BTEC HNC Fashion and Textiles at Kingston College and I’m really looking forward to it!”
