“When choosing what to study after GCSEs I found it quite difficult, however doing a BTEC course was the best option for me as it allowed me to have more creative freedom and was much better suited to my personality. I chose Kingston College because of their wide range of creative subjects and the facilities provided.
“After completing the BTEC in Photography, I will be studying at UCA on the BA (Hons) Digital Marketing and Social Media with a Professional Practice Year.
“I have enjoyed the number of different projects and activities I have been able to do in the span of 2 years. From experimenting with darkroom work to creating our own book. With this, I was able to learn multiple aspects and skills which not only combined into photography but also the creative industry in general.
“College life has given me more freedom to grow, become more independent and confident within myself.
“During this course there were many opportunities such as doing work experience in Morden Hall Park to help with their social media to participating in the process of putting an exhibition up to display our work not once but twice! However, one opportunity that I really enjoyed was going on the Amsterdam trip. During this trip we visited so many galleries and exhibitions which were great inspiration for my work, I was able to explore the city and made lots of memories with my class. Through all these experiences I have learnt so much and made lots of fond memories.”
