“I chose to study a BTEC at Kingston College because I prefer a hands-on, practical learning approach rather than just theory-based education. The Travel & Tourism and Aviation course stood out to me as it perfectly matched my interests and long-term goals. Kingston College offered the exact combination I was looking for, with great facilities and a good reputation for supporting students in these fields.

“After completing my course, I plan to continue my studies at Buckinghamshire New University in BSc (Hons) Aviation Management with Commercial Pilot Training in Airplanes. This will help me build a strong foundation for my dream career as a Pilot and open more opportunities within the aviation industry.

“My favourite part of the course was giving the pitch. It really helped me overcome my fear of public speaking. Another highlight was work experience with British Airways as Cabin Crew for a day. It gave me real-life experience, where I developed skills like time management, responsibility, customer service and patience.

“College life has been better than I expected. I’ve found it to be a very supportive and engaging environment. The biggest surprise for me was how independent you’re expected to be, but in a good way, it’s helped me grow and manage my time better.

“My advice to future students would be to stay organised, meet all your deadlines, and take full advantage of the opportunities the course offers. Be open to learning and push yourself out of your comfort zone and you’ll grow more than you expect.

“I’ve been lucky to have some amazing tutors who are very supportive and genuinely want to see us succeed. I’ve also met great friends through my course, we help each other out and keep each other motivated, which makes the whole experience even better.”
