As part of our ongoing collaboration with Morgan Sindall, students from our Level 2 Electrical Installation and Plumbing courses were given a unique opportunity to visit a live construction site in Nine Elms on Wednesday, 2nd July. This visit formed a key element of the “Winning Work in Construction” live brief project, giving learners a practical insight into the world they’ve been studying in the classroom.
During the visit, students were able to explore the real site their theoretical bids were based on, connecting their coursework to real-world applications. A highlight of the day was the award ceremony, where the winning team of the project was announced.
Congratulations to Gold Sparks – Dzaner and Oliver – whose exceptional presentation earned them top honours. Recognised for their professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail, the duo received a £200 Screwfix voucher to support their future development and toolkit needs.
The day concluded with a CV writing workshop delivered by Elliott Shaw from Morgan Sindall. The interactive session focused on how students can effectively showcase their experience from this project in future job, apprenticeship, or training applications.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Elliott Shaw and the Morgan Sindall team for their ongoing commitment to enriching our learners’ education through meaningful, industry-led experiences. We’re excited to continue growing this partnership with more live briefs, work placements, and apprenticeship opportunities ahead.
