Health & Social Care students from South Thames College proudly represented their college as volunteers and ambassadors at the 2025 Employ Wandsworth Jobs Fair, held on 9th May at Whitelands College in Roehampton. Organised by Wandsworth Borough Council in partnership with South Thames College's Employability Team, the annual event connects local job seekers with prospective employers while offering valuable career advice and networking opportunities.

Four dedicated students — Billie Fletcher, Raihana Hassan, Sabrina Terra Alvarenga and Sienna Campbell — were selected to support the event. Their responsibilities included greeting employers and visitors, assisting with the setup of employer stands, and directing attendees throughout the venue.

The student ambassadors impressed attendees and organisers alike with their professionalism, energy, and commitment. Emily Payne from Wandsworth Council praised the team, saying, “I want to thank you for your wonderful volunteers, they were so helpful! They worked really hard, and they did everything with smiles.”

The students themselves reflected enthusiastically on the experience:

“I enjoyed the Job Fair because I was moving around and helping lots of different people. It also opened my eyes to different opportunities and different businesses,” said Sienna Campbell.

Sabrina Terra Alvarenga added, “Last Friday was amazing — I really enjoyed it and it was an amazing experience. Thank you so much!”

“I enjoyed connecting with job seekers and offering guidance. Overall, it was a very welcoming environment and a lovely experience. I would definitely do it again!” shared Raihana Hassan.

Billie Fletcher echoed the sentiments, saying, “Friday was a good day. I enjoyed communicating with and helping many different people and seeing how they all communicated differently. It was a great experience, and I would definitely love to go again.”

South Thames College commends these students for their outstanding contributions and is proud to support opportunities that help learners build real-world skills and confidence in their future careers.
