Radostin Danchev joined us last year on our Level 2 Sport course and is now studying our Level 3 BTEC in Sports Coaching, he is also a member of our Men’s Football Academy. Radostin explains why he chose Kingston College and that playing for the Football Academy was a big influence on his decision to study here:
“I chose Kingston College as I wanted to combine football and college life, developing my qualities in football and learning at the same time. Kingston College is the best in South London for this. I also wanted to taste college life because I’m foreign and wanted to know what the differences are in my country and here.”
“I want to develop and improve my football and learning every day. Training three times a week and having two games a week was hard at the beginning but everything came together. There are a lot of benefits for me. Firstly, I am gaining qualifications whilst playing football and training which is good for my future. Secondly, I am keeping myself in good shape and fit by attending every session and getting selected for games. Lastly, I am meeting many people my age at college and making friends as well which is helping me to socialise with people. The coaches at Bedfont Academy are the best. They help me at every session and game by developing and improving me as a footballer and person as well. I am very thankful for everything they do for me.
“When I complete the course, I am thinking of going to university with semi-pro football again as I still want to gain qualifications whilst training and playing men's football.”
