Kingston College BTEC Music student, Katie, gained Triple Distinction*, the highest grade possible and equivalent to 3 A* at A Level giving Katie the maximum number of UCAS points for university. Katie is now studying BA (Hons) Primary Education at St Mary’s University saying “I know I will be able to put my music qualification to good use with in a primary school setting.”

“BTEC courses are very practical and focused on specific skills and knowledge, which I wanted as I prefer hands-on learning. BTEC also tends to have a more flexible structure compared to traditional academic routes, which can be advantageous if, like me, you have other commitments or a particular learning style.

“Kingston College has a reputation for offering high-quality vocational courses, including BTECs, and provides excellent support for its students. The college's facilities, resources, and industry connections are big draw.

“College life was what I expected and more! I got to perform on a regular basis and develop my style as an artist. I also got to see how music events were run and took part with a team of people setting one up. The teaching staff were not only very knowledgeable but they made learning fun and gave the right amount of support when I needed it.”
