Level 3 Beauty Therapy students recently visited the renowned Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in what proved to be an inspiring and educational experience.
The trip offered learners a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of anatomy and physiology, key components of their course, by engaging with real-world exhibits and historical collections. Students were able to connect the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to practical applications within their beauty therapy training.
By exploring the museum’s extensive displays of human anatomy, surgical instruments, and medical history, learners gained valuable insights into the structure and function of the human body, knowledge that underpins many of the practical units in their qualification.
This hands-on experience brought learning to life, reinforcing the importance of anatomy in professional beauty therapy practice and helping students appreciate the scientific foundations behind their craft.
The visit reflects Carshalton College’s commitment to providing enriching, real-world learning opportunities that prepare students for successful careers in the beauty industry.
