At the end of January BTEC Level 2 Tourism & Aviation students at Kingston College enjoyed their first educational trip to Disneyland® Paris, in partnership with Voyager School Travel. The annual Travel & Tourism Student Convention offers students an inside look at how Disneyland® Paris operates, with Disney speakers sharing real-world insights into customer service, marketing and careers in the tourism industry. The event provides curriculum-linked case studies and opportunities for students to engage directly with industry professionals. After the convention, our students explored the Disney parks to observe customer experience and operations firsthand, completing assignments that encourage critical analysis of marketing strategies, visitor management and overall resort operations.
Mateo Jarvis, Curriculum Manager - Travel and Aviation, said: “The trip was a strong success, offering both academic value and an inspiring learning experience outside the classroom, and will be a key feature of future enrichment opportunities for our Travel & Tourism programmes. This kind of experience doesn’t just enhance learning - it inspires confidence, curiosity and career ambition.”
