Safeguarding

As part of Resilience and Rewards Week, students participated in a calming, immersive VR experience designed to help them pause, breathe, and reset. The session gently introduced mindfulness through a guided meditation, allowing students to ground themselves and be present in the moment, without pressure to focus on any specific aspect.

Students were then invited to explore a 3D painting experience, where they could move around and interact with their own creations. This creative, low-stakes activity encouraged relaxation, mindfulness, and curiosity, while also offering an accessible and engaging introduction to VR technology.

Students shared feedback highlighting how enjoyable and calming the session was, with many describing it as fun, motivating, and a great enrichment activity. One student shared that it “helped me relax,” while others loved the creativity of the art experience, calling it “too fun, too calming” and “really interesting.” Overall, the session provided students with valuable time to unwind, recharge, and experience mindfulness in a fresh, immersive way.
