In the final week of the first term, ESOL Entry 3 students at Carshalton College visited the Imperial War Museum - a destination suggested by a class member and chosen by a landslide in a class vote. In the week leading up to the trip, we explored themes of war and political struggle, building vocabulary to help students engage with the exhibitions. On the day itself, students asked thoughtful questions as they explored the galleries and reflected on the impact of conflict on ordinary lives. The trip not only reinforced language skills but also encouraged critical thinking - a memorable experience for everyone.
