Former student, Tyler Newman, completed a BTEC in Sport & Exercise Science, gaining the equivalent of 3 A*s at A Level. Tyler continued his studies at St Mary’s University graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Sports Communications & Marketing and went on to take a Master’s Degree in Strategic Fashion Marketing from London College of Fashion.
Tyler’s very proud parents, Nickey & Stuart, have written to his tutor Jade Douthwaite, saying: “We just wanted to say a “huge thank you” for everything that you did for Tyler when he was at Kingston College a few years ago - we attended his Master’s graduation on Wednesday at the Royal Festival Hall, where he graduated with a Merit award for his Master’s Degree in Strategic Fashion Marketing from London College of Fashion UAL!
“We know that you were a huge influential factor in inspiring him and encouraging him to continue on with his education and you gave him the confidence to not only study a degree at University but also to continue on studying in order to gain a Master’s Degree! Your belief in him and encouragement truly helped him to go on and achieve this and we are incredibly thankful!”
Of his time at Kingston College, Tyler said: “I studied a BTEC and this was a great decision which benefited me massively in obtaining the maximum amount of UCAS points enabling me to get into my preferred university. Kingston College and Jade Douthwaite were a massive motivator for me doing a Master's Degree and I genuinely don't think I would have made it this far in education and setting up my career if it wasn't for them!"
