On Tuesday 24 June, Kingston College was proud to host a prestigious WorldSkills UK competition event.
This high-profile event welcomed talented competitors from across the UK, with participants travelling from as far as Northern Ireland, Suffolk, Ely and Hertfordshire to showcase their skills. The event provided an exceptional opportunity for learners and staff to witness national-level standards in professional hairdressing and raised the profile of both our curriculum and facilities.
Hairdressing Team Leader at Kingston College, Jenny Wiltshire, who was instrumental in securing the College as hosts, ensured the smooth and professional delivery of the event. Planning and industry insight ensured the day ran seamlessly and that both judges and competitors felt warmly welcomed and supported throughout. Hosting this event not only reflects the trust WorldSkills UK places in our College but also reinforces our commitment to employability, technical excellence and raising aspirations among our students.
