Students studying Mental Health and Counselling at Kingston College have developed a psychological card game, Clarity Cards, to encourage conversations about existing mental health stigmas and understanding of mental illness within communities, with friends and family, and in therapy and counselling.
Kathrin Wollenberg, Lecturer - Counselling and/or Mental Health/Psychology who worked on the project launch with the students, said: “The cards help to develop self-awareness and start conversations and discussions which are fun, as well as helping students to really get to know other people and their ideas about mental health and mental illness.
“The charity Mind in Kingston kindly funded the project and is the official collaborator. They have printed the card game and have already received orders from people wanting to use it in their practice - which is a great success!”
