Grace has nothing but wonderful things to say about her experience at Kingston College on our BTEC in Art and Design:

Why did you choose to study a BTEC and why did you choose Kingston College?

One of the reasons I chose Kingston College was for the location I had been to Kingston with my mum a few times mostly around Christmas time it is a lovely part of London. At the time of applying, I didn't really know much about a BTEC but it interested me as I had a hard time in secondary education and was not interested in going back into a similar environment with a 6th Form. During the application process, Kingston was very accommodating to my personal situation and helped me feel confident attending the college.

Favourite part of your course?

While studying here I enjoyed the opportunity to experiment and discover new things within art and design. I found a love for lino printing in my second year and used the College facilities to experiment further. I also went to Amsterdam with College which was an amazing experience. I got to see beautiful art in the museums along with the beautiful buildings and scenery, it was a trip I will never forget and I'm hoping to go back to the city in the future.

Any amazing tutors or met great new friends?

It's very easy to make friends here with everyone in the building being on a creative course, you can find something in common with a lot of people. Right now I have a lovely group of fun and understanding friends I met in my second year of the course. The tutors have been helpful and all are very easy to talk to, Jason has been incredibly supportive throughout my entire time at Kingston. I wouldn't be going to Edinburgh in September without the advice all my tutors have given me.”
