Foundation Learning students at Kingston College are thrilled to be collaborating with The CLICK, an inclusive Community Hub and Café which is part of EnhanceAble, a local charity that supports disabled people in Kingston and Richmond, and which has been making a difference to lives for over 60 years.
Eireann Brooks, Curriculum Lead – Foundation Learning at Kingston College, said: “We were so pleased to be invited to visit EnhanceAble’s remarkable provision at The CLICK Community Hub. The inclusive and welcoming atmosphere we experienced was truly inspiring. Our Foundation learners are thrilled about the opportunity to become part of the EnhanceAble CLICK Community Hub. The Hub will not only allow them to improve their social skills but also engage in various creative activities. Given that there are few lottery-funded community hubs in Kingston, this presents an exceptional long-term prospect for our students. We very much look forward to our collaboration and the positive impact it will have on our students.”
Our Foundation Learning students will be participating in valuable work experience each week at the CLICK café which is designed and run by, and for, disabled people, and is fully accessible for those who have needs including visual impairment, wheelchair user, as well as sensory and physical difficulties.
