Why did you choose to enrol/study at Carshalton College?
I chose to study at Carshalton College because it is local and the college and course had been recommended by two of my colleagues at work.
Why did you choose your particular course?
Studying the Early Childhood Education course will enable me to pursue my goal of becoming a qualified Early Years teacher.
What was your first impression of the College?
My first impression of the college was good. The college itself is clean, the security staff are friendly, and the enrolment process was easy.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of course?
I really enjoy the lessons which are engaging and informative. It has been great getting to know other people working in the same sector and learning lots from the tutors.
How do you find the teaching and level of support from tutors?
The level of support offered during the first year has been fantastic. The tutors give lots of support throughout the modules and the opportunity for formative feedback is really useful for ensuring you are on track and helps improve your academic writing.
How do you manage to fit in the study around your work and family life?
Having a study timetable and being disciplined in sticking to the timetable has helped me organise my time so that I can fit my studying in around work and my family.
How does the course help you in your workplace setting?
The course has given me a greater understanding of the foundations of early childhood education which has made me feel more confident in my role at work.
What are your goals/plans for the future or your next study/career options?
My end goal is to become a qualified Early Years teacher.
Do you have any advice for other potential students looking to enrol on your course?
If you are looking to study at a degree level I would really recommend this course. The course is well structured and fits in around work and family life and the tutors provide lots of support.
