Last month students across all four Colleges had the opportunity to get creative as part of our World Earth Day: The Green Competition. The theme was Planet Vs Plastics and they were encouraged to produce a poem, poster or photo to enter with a chance of winning a prize!
Over 50 students submitted entries to the competition and we were so impressed with the creative standard they produced. Our winning students are:
- Kingston College - Foundation Learning students
- Merton College - Kirvay Wilson
- Carshalton College - Tavaughn Wilson
1st prize was 3 x Sliver Birch and 3 x Olive trees from The Present Tree, which will be presented to Kingston College's Foundation Learning students by STCG Chief Executive Peter Mayhew-Smith. They will be planted at Kingston College. 2nd and 3rd prizes were a deluxe bamboo coffee cup and and bamboo notebook and pen.
