Kingston College BTEC Travel and Tourism student, Georgia Ballard, gained a brilliant Triple Distinction*, equivalent to 3 A* at A Level, and has accepted a place to study BSc (Hons) Air Transport Management at University of West London
She says: “I chose Kingston College for the incredible opportunities they offer, and they did not let me down. From day trips to residentials, they make the most of your time and give you the chance to see the travel, tourism and aviation industry first hand, proving the importance and validity of your knowledge. I wanted to study a BTEC to gain an industry specific qualification that would allow me to excel in this particular industry, with the aspiration to become a pilot.
“After I complete my course, I plan to take a gap year before studying Air Transport Management (Airline and Airport Specialist) at the University of West London. This helps me further develop my knowledge and understand more about the industry I am so passionate about. This in turn will lead me to a sponsored internship with British Airways in their Speedbird pilot training programme.
“The whole travel and tourism team are extremely helpful in everything you get to do; from course work to month long internships in another country, they are there every step of the way. Thank you Mateo, Jordan, Chloe, Sabah, Dan, Elizabeth and Belinda for helping me get my foot in the door, you all changed my life for which I’m extremely grateful.”
