Meet Level 1 Certificate in Art and Design student Ella Koka who says she has been surrounded by “supportive and kind teachers” during her time here. She says: “I chose to study at Kingston College due to their wide range of creative courses. I began college after previously being home-schooled, and Kingston College has created a welcoming atmosphere, which allowed me to feel comfortable from the very first day I attended.
“While studying Art and Design, I have been surrounded by supportive and kind teachers that have been there to help and motivate me through every project. I have had constant reassurance and help from my tutors and other teachers in the class. During the year, I have also been introduced to many different techniques and I have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with materials I wouldn't normally use.
“For me, Art is a way to express yourself, and teachers at Kingston College have made me feel comfortable enough to express my ideas and thoughts for each project we have completed. Due to useful and detailed feedback, I was able to create a Final Project that I was proud of.
“Progressing onto the next course, I will be starting BTEC Level 3 Art and Design this September, and I am excited to be able to create more Art and meet many new people!”
