BTEC in IT student, Dara, gained Triple Distinction*, the equivalent to 3 A* grades at A Level:
"After completing my course , I hope to get an apprenticeship as I am actively seeking a Degree Apprenticeship in IT, as I’m passionate about gaining hands-on experience while continuing to learn. As a backup plan, I intend to study an MEng in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Queen’s University Belfast. I also plan to take the ISC2 exam later this year to become a Fellow in Cybersecurity, which aligns with my long-term goal of building a career in cybersecurity.
"I’ve really enjoyed my experience as a Student Ambassador and as a member of the Student Council. These roles gave me the chance to develop a wide range of soft skills including communication, active listening, teamwork, leadership, time management, and public speaking. More importantly, they helped me grow in confidence and gave me opportunities to support others and represent the student voice.
