A big congratulations to sports student Jamahl Golland for walking away with two more world titles at the prestigious WKU World Kickboxing Championships in Cardiff last weekend.
Jamahl is currently studying for his BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science and we are all very proud of his achievements both at College and in the competitive Kickboxing arena. Jamahl hopes his success will inspire others with learning difficulties to pursue their dreams and goals, he has a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD.
After winning Jamahl said: “As a Martial Artist and as an athlete I never let victories go to my head, nor defeats go to my heart. After a short rest it’s back to hard training as next year I’m a senior which will represent another huge step up in my competitive career. I’d just like to thank all of my coaches and team around me, as well as my College tutors for all of their ongoing support, I’d never be able to do this alone.”
