The STC Resilience Weeks Event showcased a series of workshops and activities designed to empower students to navigate life's challenges, foster connections, build positive relationships, and enhance their inner strength. These sessions equipped participants with practical strategies for resilience both in college and beyond. Workshops covered a diverse range of topics, including self-care, healthy relationships, stress management, growth mindset, insights into careers from Wandsworth Council, bystander training, and first aid from St Johns Ambulance.

In addition to these educational sessions, we organised various engaging activities throughout the week that promoted resilience through fun physical challenges, focusing on coordination, balance, stamina, and endurance. Student feedback from the career insights session was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees described it as "inspiring and insightful," with Council members sharing vital employability skills, interview tips, and personal career journeys.

The discussion emphasised resilience, confidence-building, and effective strategies for overcoming workplace challenges. An interactive quiz and Q&A further engaged students, reinforcing the importance of adaptability and perseverance in achieving success. An ESOL lecturer highlighted the impact of the Growth Mindset session, noting a remarkable change in student participation: "One student, who has NEVER volunteered an answer in a class feedback session before, actively contributed after attending the workshop."

Other event highlights included our Resilience Fair and the Resilience Quest, with the event culminating in the increasingly popular Double Dutch Open Activity—a creative approach to promoting both physical and emotional well-being. Overall, the STC Resilience Weeks Event successfully fostered a supportive community and provided invaluable resources for our students' personal and professional growth.
