Huge congratulations to Kingston College Paralegal student, Lisa, who won an award for the highest grade on the Level 3 NALP Certificate in Paralegal Practice at the recent NALP awards. The awards, which were held on National Paralegal Day* on 11th November, took place at the Six Clerks Bar at the Law Society on Chancery Lane.
Lisa, who works at Gregsons Solicitors in Wimbledon, commented on her success and her experience on the course: “One of the reasons I chose Kingston College is because the course seemed very comprehensive, and I thought the NALP qualification would be useful professionally. I also liked the idea that the classes are held in person rather than being virtual, unlike other courses I looked at. I found it much easier (and more enjoyable) to interact with the tutor and fellow students in a classroom setting rather than attending online.
“I found the support from our tutor, Susan Shuttle, really excellent. As a highly experienced practicing solicitor, Susan is extremely knowledgeable and is able to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible way. She is also very friendly and approachable and really committed to providing support and encouragement to her students.
“I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who is thinking about entering into the legal profession, or who would like to consolidate their existing knowledge if they already work in the field. I have been a Legal Secretary for several years and the course has not only given me more confidence in what I’m doing, but has also given me the knowledge to develop my career in the forthcoming years.”
Lisa’s lecturer, Susan Shuttle, commented: “The NALP Paralegal Technician course provides a wide range of legal skills for a career in law. Lisa excelled in every subject and obtained the highest grade for Level 3 for 2024. Well done Lisa”.
