Food sale 3 1

Our hard working Hospitality & Catering students finished the spring term on a high last week as they hosted an end of term food sale for staff and students. Customers were queuing down the corridor to purchase bakewell tart, cakes, roulade and biscuits made by the students themselves.

Level 2 students ran the shop and were assessed on their Customer Service unit at the same time. All items cost less than £2 and the sale raised £347 for the H&C department. Finally, eight crates of surplus food, all cooked by the students, was also donated and gratefully accepted by the Manor House care home, next door to the college.
