Students from Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies and Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology
were given the opportunity to work at the Mitcham VR Festival where interactive Virtual Reality experiences were showcased alongside 360-degree films and a unique Augmented Reality installation to give visitors the opportunity to engage with a broad range of immersive experiences from sci-fi thrillers to romantic dramas and comedy flicks.
The Mitcham VR Festival is a free community event which provided our students with valuable work experience.
We received feedback from Angela Ramsey, Producer at Digital Drama: “I just wanted to get in touch to say how fantastic all of your students were in their volunteering duties this weekend at Mitcham VR Festival.
The students were all very enthusiastic, friendly and open to learning new things. We were particularly impressed by their great attitude across both days and we hope they enjoyed their experience and got something out of it. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from members of the public in terms of the approachable, polite, friendly and helpful attitude of the volunteers in helping them to enjoy the festival activities. Hopefully their experience will give them something to add to their CVs for when they are looking for future work experience. We would certainly be delighted to be able to invite your students to take part in future volunteering opportunities if they arise.”
