Izabela Druja new website

Izabela Druja studied Level 3 Health & Social Care and is originally from Romania. She achieved D*D*D* and has ambitions to become a researcher in Neuroscience and Psychology.

Why did you choose to study Health & Social Care at Merton College?
I applied to study a Health and Social Care Diploma because I am very passionate about helping people and I want to make a difference in that sector. The staff at Merton College have been very welcoming and supportive from the beginning.

Any relevant background information e.g. any challenges overcome to achieve good grades?
I am originally from Romania and when I moved to London, I was not able to speak English and could not understand the written words in library books. Since then, I’ve passed my GCSEs and completed my Diploma – I was even able to move from Level 1 to Level 3 without doing Level 2 at all!

Do you have any advice to future students?
My advice for students is to believe in yourself and your future if you want to make your career ambitions come true.

Next steps…
After achieving D*D*D* in my Diploma, I am so excited and proud to be starting an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience at Holloway University. I have career ambitions to become a researcher in neuroscience and psychology.
