Last term Level 3 Art & Design and Creative Media Production students were joined virtually all the way from Australia, by childrens' author Julie Fison.
She spoke to the students about about her background; her experience leading up to writing; how she got inspired, plus, showed the group lots of examples of her work.
Julie also discussed the processes involved in writing, illustrating, editing and publishing a book.
We are absolutely thrilled and honoured that she spent time with our learners, inspiring them and encouraging them to be as creative as possible coupled with some excellent careers advice!
Julie Fison writes books for children and young adults, plays, short stories and travel articles. Her books include the Hazard River adventure series for young adventure lovers and stories in the `Choose Your Own Ever After` series that lets the reader decide how the story goes.
