South Thames Colleges Group is celebrating Neurodiversity Celebration Week from 13-17 March. This awareness week aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by allowing schools, universities, and organisations to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent.
We are running a series of online 'lightening' talks on Teams across South Thames Colleges Group, which staff and students are welcome to join to learn more about neurodiversity and hear about people’s lived experiences.
These sessions include a talk with an Occupational Therapist discussing Dyslexia & Dyspraxia; an interview with a parent of a child with Autism; a talk with a Speech & Language Therapist; an interview with two neurodivergent students.
