We welcomed a panel of industry speakers to brief our Construction students on the significant regeneration and development projects planned across Sutton. Representatives joined from Sutton Council’s Economic Growth team, Socius Development, The London Cancer Hub, and the St George’s Oak Gardens redevelopment of the former B&Q site.
Students were given an overview of the major construction activity set to shape the borough over the coming years. Among the projects is the London Cancer Hub, a long‑term development expected to span approximately a decade. Speakers highlighted both current and future opportunities that these schemes will create for young people entering the construction sector.
The session aimed to give students early insight into the scale of forthcoming local projects and the pathways and opportunities that may become available as work progresses.
