Safeguarding

Krystal is a student who studied Health & Social Care Level 1 with our Adult Community Learning team. Krystal says:

"Studying Health & Social Care Level 1 and Level 2 was very enjoyable and knowledgeable. Our tutor Christine took the time to make sure we understood what was being taught and encouraged us to do well.

On a personal level, I would say that learning Health & Social Care has meant that I became more aware of my surroundings and, in particular, safeguarding children when I felt there was an issue I needed to report. It also helped me to be less anxious about learning as an adult.

Professionally I’m happy to say that the course gave me the confidence I needed to apply for jobs within the NHS. I am due to start work at St George’s Hospital soon and the knowledge that I learnt from these courses has meant my training was a breeze! All in all, my education has been a very positive experience."
