The Committee of South London Principals (COSLP) held their annual Best Learner Awards on Thursday 25 May at the House of Lords to celebrate the very best learners and exceptional teachers.

Best Learner: Engineering student Divine Kuteesa

Divine has consistently performed at an exceptional level, earning top marks in her course and setting a high example for her peers to follow. Divine has always shown remarkable resilience and determination in all her endeavours. She has earned the prestigious work experience opportunity on London Power Tunnels project, where she won accolades from her employer for her professionalism and dedication. She has now been assigned a mentor to guide her in achieving her goal of becoming an excellent Civil Engineer.

In addition to her academic achievements, Divine has demonstrated a fine example of kind leadership. As the Course Representative of her group she listens carefully and treats her peers with respect. Last year she worked as a peer educator in partnership with Merton Council, organising and delivering Mental Health awareness outreach programme for the Merton Community.

Divine is a truly outstanding student who embodies the qualities which the college seeks to inculcate; qualities like diligence, integrity, character; qualities that are hard to define, but easy to recognise. Complementing all these admirable qualities are Divine’s unfailing politeness and friendliness with fellow learners and teachers alike.

All of her teachers are certain that Divine will continue to achieve great things in her future endeavours.
