Games Development lecturer Stuart De Ville and his company Game Dev London hosted Global Game Jam on 29th-31st January.

Game Dev London’s site was the no.1 site for the jam in the UK (out of 65 sites) and in the top 10 Globally! (8th out of 684 sites). 28796 jammers took part this weekend, and Stuart signed up his 1st and 2nd year students to take part.

A game jam is a competition where aspiring and veteran game devs come together and form small teams with others they haven’t met before to try and build games, set under a singular theme, this year’s theme was “Duality”.

Game Dev London hosted not just the jam site, but also ran talks, panel discussions and networking lunches over the course of the weekend, which made it the perfect place for students to hear tales and gain knowledge from industry professionals and meet and make new friends and connections who share their passion.

35 games were submitted to Game Dev London, and they can be found here: Submissions to Game Dev London x Into Games - GGJ22 - Community Showcase - itch.io
