As part of National Careers Week, we held Careers Fairs for our students last week across Merton and Carshalton Colleges.
A total of 13 employers attended over both sites, including the Metropolitan Police, Borderforce, Alstom, Cherrystone Nursery, Community Advantages Sports Coaching, Construction South London, NHS Primary Care, Parkeray Ltd, TFL, Paddock School, Engie, Lionheart Football Coaching and Everyone Active.
Groups of students were booked to attend sessions, with 29 groups attending Carshalton. Over 60 students visited the event at Merton.
Staff and employers also completed Careers Pathway posters, where they listed out their previous jobs and the skills they developed along the way. These posters, that are currently on display around the Colleges and outside Student Services, are a great conversation start to show students how staff and employers develop skills along their career journey.
