David Ly, a Games Lecturer from Escape Studios, recently visited our Level 3 Creative Media and Games students for an insightful talk on the diverse career opportunities within the gaming industry.
During his presentation, David highlighted the wide-ranging possibilities a gaming course can offer, emphasizing how the skills acquired are highly transferrable to other fields, including architecture, e-sports, and music. He also introduced students to various free software tools, demonstrating how to use them effectively, and provided useful links for further exploration.
He encouraged students to adopt a well-rounded approach to learning, advocating for a “Jack of all trades, Master of One” mindset to enhance their versatility and expertise.
