Safeguarding

Creative Industries students teamed-up with local charity Wandsworth Oasis to run a Fashion Show.  Building on the success of the award-winning 2019 event, fashion students visited Wandsworth Oasis’s local charity shops to source donated clothing. They have spent the last few weeks re-purposing the items to become sustainable clothing, in-line with the values of the charity.

The garments were launched on the catwalk at the Fashion Show, which also saw Music learners perform. The event was attended by learners, parents, and 20 members of the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce. All guests commented on the fantastic work carried out by the learners for the event.

Alexandra Wyatt, Community Engagement Manager at Wandsworth Oasis, commented: “I just wanted to say a huge thank you and well done again for the amazing showcase last night. I was really blown away by the talent and how it was all coordinated with the music and fashion, it worked so well. The students should all be very proud of themselves. Thanks again and always a pleasure to work with you all.”

The Fashion Show with Wandsworth Oasis will return in 2023.
