Miyoung Han Lee began her journey at Kingston College on an Access to Art & Design diploma, then completing the Foundation Degree and graduated this summer from our BA (Hons) Art & Design (Top-up).
“I have studied at Kingston College since 2018, when I started an Access course in Art & Design. Experimenting in various disciplines helped me find my creative pathway. During the FDA course, I was able to continue to develop my interests. Finally, in the BA top-up course, my focus was on painting and printmaking. To move on to the next stage of my artistic development, I applied to study for an MA and have received an offer from UAL to join their Fine Art: Printmaking course in September.
“Throughout my academic journey at Kingston College’s Creative Industries Centre, I have received the utmost support. First, my tutors helped me improve my skills in both practice and theory. Secondly, the learning supporters and artists in residence provided additional assistance. As English is my second language, I needed guidance in the writing tasks that were an intrinsic element of my education. It was because of the support of the college that I was able to submit my assignments with confidence. This has enabled me to evolve my academic and critical skills so that I was able to challenge the next level of academic education with confidence.
On completion of my course, I plan to strengthen my field of expertise as a printmaker and work in art practice and educational business.”
