Safeguarding

We asked some of our students how they are enjoying College so far this term, here is what they had to say:

“One thing I loved about Kingston College is how helpful and kind everyone around me is. I loved how easy it was to get around on my first day. It was a new and exciting experience, I loved the first week and can't wait to take part in the other weeks to come.” Adetutu Adenusi

“When I first started I was a bit nervous about going into a classroom with people I didn’t know, I think I scared myself too much but on my first day I was completely fine, I was talking to so many new people and it was amazing.” Ellie Wells

“Because of lockdown it feels as if I forgot how to socialise, however college had brought me back, getting the opportunity to make new friends and do activities.” Mahima Rashid

“The college is fantastic, it was a wonderful week it made me feel comfortable, it let me get to know other students and teachers, it was really an unforgettable week. Also something that impressed me very much is how in the college the teachers were not stressful towards us at all, they were calming and understood our positions as students as they've been there themselves so yeah I'm looking forward to the next week.” Samuel Uldedaj

“So far my college experience has been excellent. It was surprisingly easy to make friends, despite the fact that I was nervous about meeting new people for the first time in a very long time. All the staff I have been in contact with so far were super friendly and welcoming, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any point. I am definitely enjoying my time at Kingston College so far as I feel more independent and responsible for my learning, though I always know that I have support from my teachers and even my peers.” Hannah Greaves

This is my second year of college and it has been wonderful. The tutors here are very supportive and patient with my questions (especially my course leader Jason), I felt that I was able get help and advice constantly. I have made some great friends here and formed a study group, we were able to share and learn from each other’s works which I believed contributed to our grades.” Han Xie
