As part of their Final Major Project, Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma Art & Design Practice students visited a range of London Mayfair Galleries and Tate Britain. Course Leader, Jason Perrin, said: “It was fantastic to get out and actually see artworks in the flesh after relying on secondary sourced images for so long due to the pandemic restrictions. Students were encouraged to look closely at the range of techniques on display, analysing the processes used and what effects were created by them. They also documented the many display methods used. The discussions were fun, lively and insightful and will help inform their upcoming ‘End of Year’ exhibition in June. All in all, a very fruitful and stimulating day!”
Final student exhibitions will be open from 15th June 2022 until 2nd July 2022 (opening event on Wednesday 15th June 3:30-7:30pm). The exhibitions are free to visit, so do come along and join us in celebrating the student achievements at Kingston College, Creative Industries Centre, Richmond Road, KT2 5BP.
