George studied Engineering at school and came to Carshalton College to study Plumbing. He successfully completed Level 1, 2 and 3 and began to work in the Plumbing industry.
George resumed his journey at Carshalton College when he was recruited by his former Tutor, Michael to join the team as a Workshop Technician.
George said:
“After completed 3 years of study at the College, I had a unique perspective of how the courses were taught, assessed and what was needed to achieve each qualification. This provided me with the experience to prepare the students for their studies. I feel I developed a genuine rapport with the students having been in the same learning environment previously.
I am now in my second year as a Plumbing Lecturer which is naturally more challenging but so rewarding. I have been able to experience first-hand how the students develop from the start of their course through to completion.
I really enjoy helping them to achieve the tasks that are set and finding new and interesting ways to motivate and encourage students.”
