Level 1 Carpentry and Multi-skills students have been hard at work creating and painting wooden Christmas trees for the Morden Hall Park Christmas Snowman Trail 2024.
Made from reclaimed wooden pallets, these festive trees are not only a key feature of the Snowman Trail, but also align with the park’s commitment to environmental sustainability by creatively reusing materials.
Morden Hall Park, a National Trust property in South London, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and historical significance. As Europe’s largest conservation charity, the National Trust preserves sites like Morden Hall Park for everyone to enjoy. The park's Christmas decorations play a vital role in attracting visitors during the holiday season.
The students received a detailed design brief to guide the construction process, which included specific measurements and colour requirements for the trees. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the trees were completed and ready for collection on time.
These beautifully crafted trees will now help bring the magic of Christmas to Morden Hall Park, adding to the festive atmosphere of the Snowman Trail.
Quotes from Emma and Jamie who work for the trust:
“Thank you for all the students hard work on the pallet trees, they are looking fantastic.”
“The trees look fantastic, and the team here is feeling the holiday spirit already. Huge thanks again to you and the students for all the hard work. We’re thrilled to see these coming together!”
