You will have a variety of work-based opportunities including undertaking placements within local schools. As part of this course you will study BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology AND 2 A Levels (English Language & Literature and Sociology)

Choose from a selection of subjects to help start your career in teaching. The mandatory qualification (BTEC Extended Certificate in Psychology) will give students a base level understanding of the human mind (which is essential in the understanding of a young person's needs). This pathway allows you to develop the skills and experiences to progress on to a career in education. We have experts from teacher training courses to help you prepare for your future and help you secure your place at university. As part of the course, we will also take you to local universities and involve you in enrichment activities linked to your pathway including various trips into London and overseas trip. All these experiences will enable you to be successful in your application to teacher training.
