Level 3 Award in Education & Training (CG) - Multiple Start Dates
This is a practical course which equips students with an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. It is a ten week course delivered in a range of formats including:
Practical, individual and group exercises Individual research for assignments Use of Moodle VLE, our web-based virtual learning resource Independent study
This course is ideal for:
Those who would like an introduction to teaching or training in the Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS) Unqualified teachers already employed in the Lifelong Learning Sector Technicians and support staff in further or adult education.

Units covered include: What is teaching and how we learn Roles of a teacher/trainer Lesson planning and assessing learning How to take an inclusive approach to teaching -
Progression Next Steps
Once students have achieved this qualification they are able to access more jobs within the Further Education sector.Some students go on to study a Level 4 diploma in Further Education teaching and some go on to do a PGCE in this area. This can then lead to teachers gaining Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).

Successful participants will be awarded the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Education & Training.Course Fee: £380 for the academic period 2023/2024 (this includes City & Guilds registration and certification). Please note that the Advanced Learner Loan is not available for this course.

Assessment Details
Assessment is made by: A total of three assignments and a reflective journal A 30 minute microteaching session which is self, tutor and peer assessed.
