Begin your journey into health, wellbeing and lifestyle, designed for learners who are passionate about helping others. This course introduces the essential principles of nutrition, healthy living and the science behind how our lifestyle choices affect the body and mind. As part of your learning experience, you will a Level 2 in improving personal exercise, health and nutrition and Level 3 Diet and Nutrition for Complementary Therapists. The courses are professionally regulated and are ideal for those wishing to expand their holistic practice by offering safe, evidence‑informed healthy‑eating advice. You'll build a strong foundation in nutrition, exploring how nutrients support the body, how the digestive system and metabolism function and how diet influences physical, emotional and lifestyle factors. A key part of the course focuses on ethical practice and understanding your professional scope ensuring you know when a client should be referred to a medical or nutrition specialist. You will also examine current nutritional debates, diet patterns and develop confidence in analysing dietary habits in a responsible, informed way.

Level 3 Diet and Nutrition for Complementary Therapists:- Basic principles of nutrition: macronutrients & micronutrients, their sources and functions.
- Anatomy, physiology and biochemistry of the digestive system; nutrient absorption.
- Nutritional needs across the life cycle (children, adults, pregnancy, ageing).
- Impacts of poor nutrition on health, immunity, skin health, weight and wellbeing.
- Healthy eating guidelines, food labelling, hydration, dietary planning.
- Metabolism, caloric balance and nutrient utilisation.
- Diet related diseases, intolerances and lifestyle related conditions.
- Global dietary patterns, food processing, environmental impacts on food quality.
- Scope of practice, professionalism, ethics, and referral procedures

Course Structure
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Diet and Nutrition for Complementary Therapists:This qualification is delivered through one mandatory unit covering all aspects of diet and nutrition for complementary therapists. Students begin with the foundations of nutrition and professional practice, then move on to studying macronutrients, micronutrients, digestion and metabolism. The course progresses into life stage nutrition, healthy eating guidelines, and the effects of poor diet, before exploring global dietary influences and diet related conditions. Learning is a blend of theory sessions, supervised client based activities and portfolio development, leading to a submission of a completed portfolio of evidence.
L2-Certificate in improving personal exercise, health and nutrition (NCFE) consists of three mandatory units:
