Course Content
On the ESOL with GCSEs course all students study the same core set of ESOL qualifications. These are: ESOL Trinity Skills for Life Speaking/Listening at Level 1, Pearson Edexcel Reading and Writing at Level 1 and 9-1 GCSE in Computer Science. If students have not achieved a grade 4 in GCSE maths they will be required to study maths at the appropriate level. There is an option for some students to study one additional GCSE from the following options: GCSE Business Studies, GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Physics, GCSE Psychology and GCSE Sociology. The GCSE qualifications are assessed by written exams at the end of the academic year. There is a weekly tutorial class and regular individual support sessions with the tutor. Work experience is also an essential element of this course. -
