T Level Digital Support Services
This is a new two-year full-time course designed in collaboration with employers, suitable for post 16 students looking to develop both knowledge and practical skills in the IT sector. This T level is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of contexts, concepts, theories and principles in regard to IT.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSE grade 4-9 including English and Maths (or equivalent).We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other this will include attendance. This is to ensure we can support to be able to achieve well on the course. Applicants with 85% or below attendance will have been deemed not to have met this criteria. All applicants are given an opportunity to discuss any evidence based mitigating circumstances that may have affected the reference / school report.

Course Content
All students will develop a general understanding of digital: How digital technologies impact business and market environment. The ethical and moral implications of digital technology. Using data in software design. Using digital technologies to analyse and solve problems. Digital environments, including physical, virtual and cloud environments. Legal and regulatory obligations relating to digital technologies. The privacy and confidentiality of personal data. The technical, physical and human aspects of internet security. Planning digital projects. Testing software, hardware and data. Digital tools for project management and collaboration. They will also learn about topics specific to digital support services, including: Roles within the digital support services sector. Communication in digital support services. Fault analysis and problem resolution. -
Progression Next Steps
Students who achieve this qualification could progress onto the following depending on their chosen occupational specialism: Higher Level Apprenticeship or Higher Education. In employment Digital Support Technician Digital Applications Technician Digital Service Technician Infrastructure Technician IT Solutions Technician Hardware Solutions Software Solutions Network Cable Installer IT Security Co-ordinator. Course Structure
You will spend 80% of the course in your learning environment, gaining the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where you put your learnt skills into action. -
