his qualification is designed for learners wishing to develop their understanding of the safe handling of medicines. They may be learners who wish to access this training with a view to progress to further qualifications, or learners who wish to study this programme in order to complement other studies.

Entry Requirements
This course is for adult learners 19+. It would be desirable if learners had GCSE grade 4/C in English and /or ESOL/EFL. -
Course Content
To be awarded the qualification, learners are required to successfully complete the following mandatory units:• Unit 01 Understand medication and prescriptions • Unit 02 Supply, storage and disposal of medication • Unit 03 Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication • Unit 04 Record keeping and audit processes for medication

Course Structure
This course will be delivered on Thursdays from 5-9 with a blended learning approach.Teaching will start from the w/c 24th February 2025 and run until July 2025.

Assessment Details
The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care is internally assessed using a portfolio of evidence including practical and theoretical assessments.
